On August 23rd. at 6:30 pm the Valley View Booster club will hold its annual Meet the Teams event at John Kassen Field. We will recognize the coaches along with the volleyball, cross country, football teams, and cheerleader squad. This also coincides with our annual drive to sign up parents of athletes to work the concessions stands. The parents are the engine that drives the booster club. Last year more money was raised through the Valley View booster club than ever before. Monies raised went to pay for the new digital video equipment that all the coaches will take advantage of. One of the advantages of this new equipment is the ability for parents to view games on line through a pin number they can purchase through the booster club. For example a basketball game played on Tuesday could be viewed online later in the week by using one’s pin number. Also purchased this year is a new timer for the cross country team, picture frames (8x11) that line the halls of the multi purpose building. There is a new locking bulletin board that will be installed in the lobby of gym for the purpose of posting articles of Valley View sports team & athletes. In addition the booster club renovated both concession stands along with building a new coach’s/film box mounted above the current press box. These items are just a few of the things the booster club has been working on. So join us on the 23rd to recognize these fine student athletes, and please remember to support your athletes through the Valley View booster club. . President - David Pembroke
