Trustees call $65M bond election for November 4, 2025
VALLEY VIEW, TX — At its special (working/committee) meeting on August 4, 2025, the Valley View Independent School District (VVISD) Board of Trustees unanimously approved a bond election to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The $65 million bond proposal is designed to meet the district’s growing enrollment and expand opportunities for students across all grade levels.
Projections show that by 2035, Valley View ISD’s student enrollment is expected to double, growing from 851 up to 1,652 students. All current campuses are approaching their functional capacity. To accommodate this growth and reduce crowding, the district has proposed a $65 million bond, which was unanimously approved by the Valley View ISD Board of Trustees.
Over the past year, a Bond Planning Committee made up of approximately 30 community members—including parents, alumni, educators, and local leaders—met ten times to study enrollment trends, facility conditions, survey feedback, and possible solutions. Their recommendation formed the basis for the bond proposal. If approved, the bond would fund a new high school, new CTE spaces, land acquisition, reconfiguration of current campuses, and other facility updates. These improvements would increase district capacity by over 40%. Click here to view the complete list of bond propositions (PDF)
