Cooke County Draft Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HMAP) – Public Feedback Requested
Cooke County has released the Draft Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HMAP) – Public Copy for community review and feedback. This plan is a requirement from FEMA and includes important mitigation strategies for our county.
The public copy includes redacted sections for security purposes, including:
- Section 5: Dam Failure
- Critical Facilities Maps: From Section 9 (Flood) and Section 15 (Wildfire)
- Appendices C through F

Deadline for Public Comment:
To accommodate the holiday season, the deadline for submitting feedback is January 10, 2025.
