Principal's Message - Valley View High School

Dear Valley View Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! We are excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and community at Valley View High School. The first day of school is quickly approaching on Wednesday, August 14th, and we can’t wait to welcome back our students with energy and enthusiasm. Please note that the first two days of school will be half days, with early dismissal—be sure to mark your calendars.

We also invite you to join us for our “Meet the Teacher” night on Monday, August 11th, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for students and families to connect with teachers, tour classrooms, and prepare for a strong start to the school year. Immediately following, please head to the football field for our annual “Meet the Eagles” event—a celebration of school spirit and a chance to recognize some of the amazing students here at VVHS.

This year, our school hours will be:

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:55 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:55 AM – 2:55 PM

We encourage all families to regularly visit our website at vvisd.net for the latest school news, calendar updates, and important announcements. While you’re there, please complete your student’s online registration through the Parent Portal, and be sure to review the 2025–2026 Student Handbook. As Valley View High School transitions into a high-impact campus, the handbook outlines new strategies and expectations designed to strengthen academic performance and support our students' success in a professional learning environment.

Our administrative team and staff are deeply committed to the success of every student at Valley View High School. We are proud to serve such a dedicated and supportive community. Together, we will set high standards, foster a professional and focused learning environment, and prepare our students to become confident, capable leaders for Valley View and beyond.
We look forward to working closely with you this school year and to seeing each of you very soon. Go Eagles!

Sincerely,

Justin Crittenden
Valley View High School Principal
Valley View ISD
President-Elect of TASSP
