Welcome to VISTA, Valley View ISD’s Hybrid Academy.

We are excited to offer families a flexible learning option while keeping students connected to the Valley View ISD community. Our team is dedicated to supporting each student with a strong educational experience that blends online instruction with opportunities to stay involved in school programs and activities.

    • Students in grades 9 -12
    • In-district students apply with the school counselor
    • Out-of- district families apply through the district’s online portal
    • Previous school records
    • Latest STAAR testing results
    • Discipline reports (if applicable)
    • Letters of recommendation 
    • Proof of residency (lease, mortgage, utility bill)
    • Birth certificate
    • Immunization records
    • Parent/guardian ID
  • Applying to VISTA Learning Academy is a simple process:

    1. Complete the online application
    2. Submit required documents
    3. Wait for acceptance notification
    4. Complete enrollment in Ascender (if accepted)
    5. Attend orientation and prepare for classes

    Important: Applying does not guarantee acceptance. Enrollment is only complete after all required steps are finished.

     

  • Does applying guarantee acceptance?
    No. Applications are reviewed, and acceptance is not guaranteed.


    What documents are required?
    Transcript, STAAR/EOC results, and other records if applicable.


    What happens after acceptance?
    Complete enrollment in Ascender and attend orientation.


    Is orientation required?
    Yes. All students must attend.


    Will students take STAAR/EOC tests?
    Yes. State testing is still required.


    Do students come to campus?
    Some in-person days may be required.


    Is transportation provided?
    No. Families provide transportation.
