Optional Stop the Bleed Training

Optional Stop the Bleed Training for 7th–12th Grade Students

Valley View Independent School District is offering students in grades 7–12 the opportunity to participate in optional health and safety training through the Stop the Bleed program.

In accordance with Texas House Bill 496, Sec. 38.030, school districts are required to implement a Traumatic Injury Response Protocol in the event of a traumatic injury involving blood loss. As part of this requirement, Valley View ISD maintains bleeding control kits in easily accessible areas across district campuses and provides training to designated staff members. The law also allows districts to offer optional bleeding control training to students in grades 7–12.
