Celebrating Lisa Cato’s Retirement
After 18 incredible years of dedication and service to Valley View ISD, we bid a fond farewell to Lisa Cato as she embarks on her well-earned retirement. Lisa's journey in education began long before she joined our district.
Lisa moved to Texas after marrying her husband, Tim. Before coming to the Lone Star State, she worked for two years as a teacher’s aide in Tennessee's Dyer County school system. She later became an adult educator with the Dyer County Literacy Program, where she spent five years helping adults achieve their GEDs.
After moving to Texas, Lisa continued her passion for supporting students and communities, working as a Life Skills aide in Hillsboro, Texas, for one year. When her daughter Emily turned five, Lisa joined the Valley View family as a teacher’s aide, where she has been an invaluable part of our team for the past 18 years.
Throughout her career at Valley View, Lisa has touched countless lives with her compassion, dedication, and unwavering support for her students and colleagues.
As Lisa steps into this exciting new chapter, she plans to focus on her thriving paint party business, where she can share her creativity and love for art. In January, she will set sail on her first cruise—a fitting adventure to kick off retirement!
Please join us in celebrating Lisa Cato’s remarkable career and wishing her all the best in her retirement. Thank you, Lisa, for your years of service and lasting impact on the Valley View community. You will be missed!
