Summer Training Schdeule

Over the 10 weeks of summer, we will have 6 weeks with structured activities. All incoming 7th-12th grade Valley View Athletes are expected to attend. There is no cost for this camp. 

Camp Days: Monday through Thursday each week unless specified as an “Off Week.

 

Schedule Overview:

Off Weeks (Open Weight Room – Times TBA)

  • May 19 - May 22
  • May 26 - May 30

Organized Activity Weeks

  • Week 1: June 2 - June 5
  • Week 2: June 9 - June 12
  • Week 3: June 16 - June 19
  • Week 4: June 23 - June 26

Off Week (No Training, No Open Weight Room)

  • June 30 - July 3

Organized Activity Weeks

  • Week 5: July 7 - July 10
  • Week 6: July 14 - July 17

Off Weeks (Open Weight Room – Times TBA)

  • July 21 - July 24
  • July 28 - July 31

Fall Sports Start

Friday, August 1st – UIL Volleyball Season Officially Begins – first day of practice (Practice times TBA)

Monday, August 4th – UIL Football Season Officially Begins – first day of practice (Practice times TBA).

Summer Training Time Overview

Female Athletes

  • 8:00 – 9:00 AM: Speed & agility development (meet at the track)
  • 9:00 – 10:00 AM: Strength training (weight room)
  • 10:00 – 10:45 AM: Sport-specific skills development
    • Week 1 & 2 – Softball
      • If not playing softball:
        • Monday/Tuesday – Basketball
        • Wednesday/Thursday – Volleyball
    • Week 3 & 4 – Basketball
      • If not playing basketball:
        • Monday/Tuesday – Softball
        • Wednesday/Thursday – Volleyball
    • Week 5 & 6 – Volleyball
      • If not playing volleyball:
        • Monday/Tuesday – Softball
        • Wednesday/Thursday – Basketball

 

Male Athletes

7:00 or 8:00 AM – 10:45 AM

  • Football Players (2025 Season)

    • Report to the stadium by 6:45 AM
    • 7:00 – 7:45 AM: Football session
    • Break before weights
  • Non-Football Athletes

    • Report to the weight room at 8:00 AM or earlier
    • 8:00 – 9:00 AM: Weight room session
    • 9:00 – 10:00 AM: Speed & agility development
      • If finished early, transition to skills training (ending between 10:15 – 10:30 AM)
    • 10:00 – 10:45 AM:
      • Monday & Wednesday – Basketball
      • Tuesday & Thursday – Baseball
      • Athletes not participating in these sports may leave after speed training.
