We are hosting a Blood Drive on October 24 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Valley View High School parking lot. The Texoma Regional Blood Center will have its blood donation bus on-site for all eligible donors. Your contribution can help save lives!

Blood Donor Guidelines:

• Age: Must be at least 17 years old. No upper age limit.
• Weight: Minimum weight requirement is 110 pounds.
• Hemoglobin Levels: 12.5g/dl or higher for females; 13.0g/dl or higher for males.
• Pulse: 50-100 beats per minute, with exceptions for highly active athletes.
• Temperature: Must be below 99.5°F.
• Medications: Donors on certain medications are eligible to donate. Please bring a list of your prescription medications.
• Pregnancy: Donors may donate 6 weeks after pregnancy.
• Additional Guidelines: Eat a full meal within 4 hours of donating and drink plenty of water before and after donating.

Temporary Disqualifications:

• Colds or dental work within the last 72 hours.
• Tattoos or piercings from out-of-state or unlicensed facilities in the last 12 months.
• Travel to malaria-endemic areas in the past year.

Permanent Disqualifications:

• HIV/AIDS, certain cancers, or a history of heart attack or stroke.
