Valley View ISD Honors Outstanding Staff

At a staff assembly on December 20th, Valley View ISD recognized the Eagles Above and Beyond Award winners for Fall 2024 and celebrated the retirement of a beloved employee.

🌟 Sarah Swan, Director of Food Services, was honored for her innovative leadership. She expanded meal programs, increased participation in breakfast and lunch services, and secured grants to provide free meals for students throughout the year. After the May 2024 tornado, she quickly expanded the Summer Feed Program to include a mobile site, showing her dedication to the community and students.

🌟 Nora Munoz, an Elementary teacher, was recognized for her selfless dedication to her students and the community. Despite personal hardships during the tornado, Nora served others tirelessly, delivering supplies, organizing relief efforts, and comforting those in need. She exemplifies the spirit of the Eagles Above and Beyond Award.

📚 Lisa Cato was celebrated for her 18 years of service as the Elementary Librarian, leaving behind a legacy of inspiring young readers.
