We are proud of our VVISD staff members and what they do for our students and the community. We are pleased to announce it is time to recognize those staff members for their contributions.

The “Eagles Above and Beyond Staff Award” is designed to acknowledge those individuals who go above and beyond to help others, whether at school, home, or the community. This award will be given districtwide, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. Each recipient will receive a plaque at a districtwide staff event at the end of each semester, and their name will be placed on a plaque at the central administration building. VVISD will proudly announce the award winners on our website, Facebook, and local newspapers.

The criteria for the recipients of the “Eagles Above and Beyond Staff Award” are:

•  Must work at VVISD campuses
•  Goes “above and beyond” in one of the following areas:
• Community relations
• Volunteerism
• School work

Anyone (students, staff, parents, community members) may nominate an individual for the award. Nominations should consist of written documentation explaining why that person should be considered for the award. Nominations should include details stating specifically how the staff member has gone “above and beyond.”

A committee will review the nominations in December and May. This committee will select the individuals to receive the award.
