The new school year is set to begin on Thursday, August 14^th. We are looking forward to seeing our returning students and are excited to welcome new ones to our campus!

The school day will begin at 7:55 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Friday hours will be 7:55 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Morning drop-off and breakfast will start at 7:30 a.m. each day. Parents are welcome to walk their child to their classroom on the first two days of school (Thursday and Friday).

The first two days of school will be early release at 1:00 pm. The school calendar is posted on the school website. School supplies are being provided for all students this year. Additionally, all VVISD students will receive free breakfast and lunch for the 2025-26 school year.

Meet the Teacher will be a come-and-go event on Monday, August 11^th, 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm. The class lists will be released prior to the Meet the Teacher event.

Prior to the school year starting, please register your student for the 2025-26 school year through the Parent Portal, found on our website under the Parent tab. Please review your child’s immunization record to ensure it is up to date. Texas law requires all immunizations to be completed by the first day of attendance.

On Saturday, August 2nd, we will be hosting a Back-to-School Bash from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Bob Andrew Agriculture Science Center. This event is FREE to our VVISD families and will provide students with back-to-school items, including backpacks, haircuts, and more. There will be numerous fun activities that have been generously donated by local community members and businesses. We hope you will join us for the fun!
