Public Education Grant (PEG) Notification for 2025–26

Valley View Middle School has been placed on the Public Education Grant (PEG) list for the 2025–26 academic year.
The PEG program, created by the Texas Legislature in 1995, allows parents whose child attends a school on the PEG list to request a transfer to another district for the 2025–26 school year. Valley View Middle School is on this list because it received an overall scaled score below 60 on the 2023 accountability ratings released by the Texas Education Agency in April 2025.
Valley View ISD and Valley View Middle School administrators are actively working with the Continuous Improvement Team from Region 11 Education Service Center and Texas Instructional Leadership to improve student academic achievement. Through the Effective Schools Framework, the focus has been on Positive School Culture (Lever 3) and Effective Instruction (Lever 5). Gains reflected in the 2024 and 2025 accountability ratings, released in August 2025, give confidence that Valley View Middle School is on track to continue making progress and become a campus that excels.
