Eagles Cross Country Dominates at District

The Valley View Eagles Cross Country teams soared at the District 10-3A Meet, earning top honors across multiple divisions. Our athletes showcased their determination, teamwork, and the true heart of an Eagle as they pushed through every mile to finish strong.
The Varsity Boys team claimed first place overall with an impressive team score of 22 points. Leading the pack were Zane Reynolds (1st, 16:54.78), Giovanni Campos (2nd, 16:58.11), Cesar Delval (3rd, 17:15.22), and Kaden Jenkins (4th, 17:21.20).
The Varsity Girls team finished third overall with 69 points, led by Brooklyn Bewley, who earned 1st place individually with a time of 11:37.00.
The JV Boys dominated with a perfect team score of 15 points, as Gunner Ottinger (1st, 18:42.47), Grady Shelburne (2nd, 18:46.61), Adrian Martinez (3rd, 19:10.37), Jorge Anguiano (4th, 19:46.31), Tyler Ray (5th, 19:48.75), and Sebestan Harless (6th, 21:57.32) led the way.
For the JV Girls, April Ortega (1st, 13:43.24) and Ella Ritchey (2nd, 13:47.19) finished strong, representing Valley View with pride and perseverance.
Our Eagles are now headed to the Regional Meet on Monday, October 20, where they’ll continue their season with the same determination and Eagle spirit that carried them to victory at district.
