Valley View High School student Lance Hieb has been selected to perform in the 2026 Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) All-State Band, one of the highest honors a Texas high school musician can achieve.

More than 10,000 high school band students from across the state auditioned for All-State consideration through a multi-level process that included region and area auditions. Only 286 students statewide were ultimately selected for All-State honors.

Lance, a French horn player, studies under the direction of Wayne Winner and Max Moeck as a member of the Valley View High School Band. His selection reflects exceptional musicianship, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

The ATSSB All-State Bands will rehearse and perform in San Antonio in February, bringing together top student musicians from small schools across Texas for a culminating concert experience.

Valley View ISD is proud to recognize Lance Hieb for this outstanding accomplishment and for representing the Eagle tradition at the state level.
