On December 7th, several members of the VVHS band competed against schools in the region, ranging from 1A to 4A, for a coveted spot in the Region Band. These talented students worked tirelessly, showcasing their dedication and growth as musicians.

The All-Region Band tryout process is a highly competitive event where students perform selected etudes and scales before a panel of judges. Performers are evaluated on criteria such as tone quality, technical skill, rhythm accuracy, and musicality. Only the best musicians from each audition earn a spot in the Region Band, with top scorers advancing to the Area Band for a chance to compete for All-State honors.

We are thrilled to announce that three of our incredible band members earned a spot in the Region Band and advanced to the Area Band! These outstanding musicians will now prepare for the next round as they aim for a place in the prestigious All-State Band in January.
