Welcome Back, Eagles!

The start of a new school year is almost here, and we can't wait to welcome our students, staff, and families back to Valley View ISD! This newsletter includes everything you need to prepare for the first day of school, including important dates, back-to-school events, registration information, school hours, athletic and band schedules, and reminders to help your family start the year off right.

We look forward to seeing everyone back on campus and making the 2026–2027 school year our best one yet. Go Eagles!

School Hours (NEW)

To help students transition into the new school year, Valley View ISD will follow a Friday-release schedule during the first four days of school.

First four days (Aug. 11–14): 7:45 AM–2:45 PM

Beginning Aug. 17:
  • Monday–Thursday: 7:45 AM–3:45 PM
  • Friday: 7:45 AM–2:45 PM

Transportation Updates

As we prepare for the new school year, please note these important transportation updates:

  • Bus routes will run approximately 15 minutes earlier than they did last school year. Please have students at their bus stop early during the first week of school.
  • Current bus routes remain the same, but minor adjustments may be made during the first week as we finalize routes.
  • All students riding Valley View ISD buses are required to wear a seat belt while the bus is in motion. This requirement helps ensure compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) safety regulations and provides a safer ride for all students.
