ESC Region 11 and Partners Resource Network are offering a free, four-part parent training series to help families support students as they grow from early childhood into adulthood.
Each virtual session covers a different stage of a student’s development, including independence, self-advocacy, transition planning, IEP goals, and preparing for life after high school.
The first session is coming up in October:

For families of students in Early Childhood through Elementary
This session will explore simple ways families can help children build independence, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills at home, while learning how those skills connect to the IEP and their child’s future.
Additional sessions will be offered throughout the school year for families of elementary, middle school, high school, and young adult students.
