Teacher Incentive Allotment

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was established in 2019 to provide outstanding teachers with an accessible pathway to a six-figure salary. Unlike previous education programs, TIA is grounded in statute and embedded in the Foundation School Program (FSP), providing a sustainable, long-term funding structure for recognizing and retaining effective educators across Texas.

Valley View ISD worked with stakeholders during the 2025–2026 school year to develop a local designation system. VVISD submitted its application in the spring of 2026. The application was approved in June 2026, and VVISD will be in a data-capture year during the 2026–2027 school year.

VVISD TIA Spending Plan

Valley View ISD's TIA Spending Plan outlines how Teacher Incentive Allotment funds will be distributed to eligible designated teachers and how district-retained funds will be used to support the program's implementation.

Under the district's plan, 90% of the TIA funds generated by a designated teacher are allocated for teacher compensation, with up to 10% retained by the district for costs associated with implementing TIA.
